With Collins in camp, the Bears now have five quarterbacks on the roster. They also signed Matt Gutierrez last week after Caleb Hanie banged up a shoulder enough to miss the rest of the pre-season but Collins gives them a more experienced back-up to starter jay Cutler.

Haynesworth, who failed a physical test – a 300-yard shuttle run – at least three times before getting clearance to join his teammates at training camp. This came after he opted out of the Redskins' off-season training program and skipped a mandatory minicamp less than three minutes after cashing in a $21 million bonus, a decision that clearly rubbed Shanahan the wrong way.

According to the NFL Network, Haynesworth was treated by team doctors for rhabdomyolysis, a breakdown of muscle fibers resulting in the release of muscle fiber contents into the bloodstream. Shanahan said Haynesworth's absence was due to headaches, not a more serious condition like rhabdomyolysis.

The 100-million free agent bust vented his spleen after Saturday's 23-3 loss to the wholesale Ravens jerseys , accusing Shanahan of misusing him against the Ravens. Then on Sunday, Haynesworth said Shanahan failed to tell the media the full reason for his absence from practice last week.

McNabb was spotted by the Washington Post wearing a protective boot on his left ankle at Monday's practice. The quarterback, acquired by the Redskins in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, during the off-season, was at the workout but wasn't in pads.
